The English are looking to rebound after Robert Green goalkeeper position error which cost them a victory against the United States. It remains unclear who will start in goal against Algeria and Fabio Capello always kept his decision. Algeria is not conducive to achieving results in the battle and lost against Slovenia last week 0-1.
They will have a difficult task playing an England side that is extra motivated to win after a poor performance. Their best hope of keeping the score less in the second half and hope for an error of three Lions chance of a free kick. England face a weaker side in Algeria and should have many chances.
Steven Gerrard will be key to the midfield and will need to connect with Wayne Rooney for the chances of the attacker. Nothing less than victory for England will be a disappointment, but they should get the result. It is a much better team and have too much quality not to get points.
